Here's a quote from cowboy bebop which is totally relevant here: 'there is nothing as pure and cruel as children'. this film shows that the tiniest rumor (even from a child with a wild imagination) can destroy someone forever.
no matter how much time passes, everyone sees that first; because nobody truly knows you. actually it's a very frightening and 'real' movie because people really are that credulous.
