Review of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) by Oliver B — 01 Dec 2015
An unremarkably average film. Mediocre acting talent combined with average special effects and a bland story makes for a very dull film. This is an accurate summation of all of the Hunger Game films and books (simply replace actors with characters and special effects with action descriptions).
Another franchise capitalizing on the Young Adult market in which the consumers are uninformed and do not wish to be. The Hunger Games offers the reader/viewer no real meat, all aspects are wafer thin and as soon as they touch the tongue, they dissolve instantly.
HG may be popular and profitable but will soon be forgotten in 5 years time now that no new films/movies are in production. In summation, avoid the HG series like the plague unless you are a parent of teens, to whom I say, God's speed and may your journey be painless and short.
