Review of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) by Troy M — 23 Jun 2018

I am leaving my review much later than it should have been done, but that is absolutely not due to the fact that this movie was not deserving of a punctual serve of opinion. It is actually the exact opposite! This movie, "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" very much lived up to its namesake of "Catching Fire" and then some! The storyline of "The Hunger Games", as gifted to the world by author Suzanne Collins, is nothing short of a masterpiece in many striking ways.

She and the movie line producers and scriptwriters have left the entire world of fandom in a wonderful state of total sensory heightened excitability and feeling strangely curious about every detail of the storyline as a whole and full of hyper anticipation of what is going to happen next.

Well, for those who have not yet read the wildly popular book trilogy from cover to cover (twice or thrice) are included the that curious category. But oddly enough, with myself included in the group of fans who have already read the book series and are supposed to know what is going to happen in the movies that are next in the series (Mockingjay Part 1 and Mockingjay Part 2) are admittedly still just as excited and eager as the non-book read group.

This is a very rare, but an awesome feeling phenomenon that I say is "the proof in the pudding" that this movie, as well as its predecessor "The Hunger Games" are truly as badass and A-List as any Hollywood movie can possibly get! A+++++ on this movie! Jennifer Lawrence, of course, again gives a remarkable performance as the lead character Katniss Everdeen which is nothing short of gifted natural talent that is unmatched in the business.
