Review of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) by Richard R — 22 Dec 2015
This has to be the most boring film I have ever seen in my life. I walked into this film with moderate expectations, the reviews coming in were good and Hunger Games wasn't a bad film. I walked out of this film half dead, it took 90 minutes to get in The Hunger Games and my god it was the longest 90 minutes of my life.
The story wasn't interesting in the slightest it was just boring dialogue scenes talking about random stuff no one cares about. The only redeeming part of this film is that like usually Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen does a great performance but all the other actors are just dreadful, they are lifeless and have no purpose.
The director Francis Lawrence shoots the action scenes quite well compared to Gary Ross who shot the action sequences using shaky cam but what makes the first film better is that it is better paced and less tedious.
This film gets 2/10.
