Review of The Hunger (1983) by Rajneel S — 03 Aug 2008
Unbelievably slow and cumbersome vampire drama suffers from a case of a lot of substance watered down by way too much style. Scott's photoshoot/TV commercial style cinematography seen here went on to single-handedly reshape the look of movies in the 80's and 90's, but in this film neither the amazing Catherine Deneuve, the wonderful David Bowie nor Bauhaus playing "Bela Lugosi's Dead" in the opening credits can save this film from being an insomnia cure.
Over-rated.
