In need of a critical reappraisal. Ebert in '83: "agonizingly bad." Variety in '83: "all visual and aural flash" Slant: "ludicrous." I will defend against all comers.
Even the makers had no idea what they were doing, they must've been channeling or something (especially Scott, hell, even Strieber hadn't realized he was an abductee at this point!!!)...Example #1: Bauhaus is listed in the closing credits as "Disco Band.
