Review of The Hunger (1983) by Jeff R — 16 May 2010
Vampire tale from my fave director Tony Scott ,which may be a bit odd but I loved every minute of it.
Like his brother Ridley Scott takes a flash and beautifu to a tale of New York city vampires played to perfection by Denuve and a suprisingly good David Bowie.
Susan Sarandon is great a the woman lured into the vampire world .
But its Scotts visuals which really arrrest here ,be it doves in a bedroom to billowing curtains he is clearly in his element here and of course so was i.
Critics may knock Tony Scott but I love his movies just for there pure style and snap and this has all that in spades.
