This movie was a feel-good temptress who seduced me by using the two cultures (and their food) I had the privilege of growing up in. India and France will always be deeply rooted in my identity, and their food a reminder of what it was like growing up.

So yeah, the film is sappy. But it's a good sappy that reminded me of home.
