Review of The Human Stain (2003) by Pansy G — 09 Feb 2009
It was not compelling, but everything about it was quality. Such a shame when a movie has everything but a soul. For me the problem was Anthony Hopkins. Although the easy target would have been Nicole Kidman (she is just a tad too prissy to seem like a woman who has lost everything and is filled with hate), Anthony was the one most out of place.
He was too big for this role, just overtook each scene he was in. Ed Harris on the other hand was absolutely fitting.
