Review of The Human Stain (2003) by Cham O — 27 Dec 2012
I was deeply enthralled and moved by the excellent script, profound depth and outstanding work. Everybody in the film - Anthony Hoprkins, Wentworth Miller, Ed Harris, Nicole Kidman, Gary Sinise - did a marvelous job. Their parts are very deep, psychologically difficult and very convincing. I was touched by the intense drama of the main hero's life, his suffering because of his ethnicity, his love, his work and his fate. This is an incredible look into the inner psyche of many people, with their pains, loves, laughs and deaths.
All the little details - political correctness, love and loss, misunderstanding and death, work and illnesses - all is here and all is true life An outstanding film, very serious, deep, greatly filmed and impeccably cut!
I LIKED IT.
