Review of The Human Centipede (First Sequence) (2009) by Intuciic . — 22 Apr 2013
I think Tom Six had the intention to shock the audience as much as he possibly could, and he succeeded. The film did have its moments, and the originality was refreshing, but what the film has in originality and style, lacks in acting and subtext.
The doctor had no motive in his actions. He was just a sick and disturbing human being who wanted to create a human centipede. The film had no meaning and was predictable. Very few elements of surprises, and extremely uncomfortable for audience members to sit through the full movie due to the over extreme and disturbing scenes.
It's still an ok film which deserves 3 stars for originality and uniqueness.
