Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Andy P — 06 Oct 2008
This may seem a tad different from other Coen brothers films but the famed creators include many of their trademarks in this movie that appear in their other ones. The story may seem formulaic but the Coens use their filmmaking and comic skills to make the film better than descent.
The performances from Tim Robbins and Paul Newman were excellent but it was Jennifer Jason Leigh who was tremendous. How did she talk so fast? She sounded like Katherine Hepburn. This movie was funny and cartoonish.
