By far my favorite Coen Brothers movie. One of my favorite movies of all time. So stylish, yet with such depth of soul. The acting is top-notch. The world presented is absorbing from the first frame to the end---so much so that the plot whizzes by brilliantly and breezily without burden.
Fun and light with relatable themes of oppressive work environments and personal ego dilemmas with resonance. Gorgeous film to look at thanks in part to Paul Newman ponying up a lot of money to help make it.
Has elements of It's a Wonderful Life, Joe Versus the Volcano and so much originality. Underrated personal classic.
