Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Ben A — 30 May 2010

I feel strange reviewing older movies, so I'll try not to get too in-depth, but I wanted to say that I quite enjoyed this and would recommend it if you haven't seen it.

I'm kind of a sucker for the witty fast-paced dialogue passed down from the noir films and screwball comedies that this movie so lovingly and brilliantly incorporates. A simple but effective story with great art direction and a stylization that manages to be quite unusual without being off-putting.

Watch it through the first board room scene. At that point, I think you'll know whether or not you're going to enjoy this movie.
