Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Kevin S — 15 Sep 2012
It is sort of a strange but delightfull comedy about a guy named Norville Barnes who at the beginning is looking for a job and has an idea for a toy (you know for kids) which is the hullahoop. As he is going up for his job interview mr hudsucker who is the owner of hudsucker industries is coming down.
Out the window that is. Now that mr hudsucker Is dead the guy that is a step down from him Sidney Mussberg wants to be the owner but needs a stooge to devalue the stock so Barnes is named the owner instead.
While the new owner he releases the hoolahoop and it becomes a sensation. There is also a reporter going undercover to find out what really is going on at hudsucker industries. This I thought was really neat the way they made this movie.
It was well acted out especially from Tim Robbins and Paul Newman. And Jennifer jason Leigh played the sneaky reporter. This was a neat well played out fun movie.
