Review of The Hudsucker Proxy (1994) by Mike F — 23 May 2008
I love the Coens, and this certainly fits with their style. It's funny in a style that most current comedies have replaced with bathroom humour, and although it is a bit off the wall (like the stopped clock) this is consistently maintained through the film making it acceptable.
Jennifer Jason Leigh is outstanding (as one would expect from a fine Canadian actress) and the rest of the cast fit their roles very well. Overall, I definitely enjoyed this movie as a nice break from reality.
