Review of The House That Dripped Blood (1971) by Paul B — 05 Sep 2007
The framing device for this portmanteau is probably the weakest and most contrived, which is a shame because the stories are all pretty good.
Denholm Elliot finds himself stalked by a character in his latest novel, Christopher Lee has a worrying attitude to his daughter, whilst Peter Cushing and joss Ackland spend too long at a waxworks exhibit.
Jon Pertwee?s episode, as a horror actor with a vampiric cloak is a humourous entry that would have been better placed earlier in the film, leaving a less hokey impression as the credits roll.
I likes it.
