Flawed but moving big budget production of a wonderful novel with one of the finest casts you could hope for - besides Irons and Streep, Glenn Close, Vanessa Redgrave, Armin Müller Stahl, Antonio Banderas, Wynona Ryder.
.. So what if the accents go in different directions - the emotional truth is there. Beautiful score. Deserves to be better know and respected in the USA.
