After reading a lot of reviews on this one, and putting it off and off and off, I did buy it and watched it over the weekend. This as everybody says, is a very slow burner, and that it is, actually so slow that hardly anything happens at all until almost the end of the film, and even then, there's basically nothing to speak of that you don't expect.

A babysitter takes a job because she really needs the money, but the first problem she encounters, is there is no baby, there is supposed to be an elderly Mother upstairs, and the couple played by Tom Noonan and Mary Woronov need the sitter very bad.

The premise is, there is a total eclipse that night, and for some reason in the beginning, this odd couple finds this night to be extremely important, and I mean EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. We of course find out why, as if we didn't figure that out pretty early, but the movie moves at a snails pace as the babysitter walks around the house trying to figure out what this couple is up to.

The movie takes place in the eighties, and that's done pretty well, but the main problem with the film, is only a couple things even happen before the inevitable conclusion, which to me was done pretty bad.

There are a couple of graphic gore scenes, but nothing that elevates this otherwise boring movie. So, I was very disappointed with it, nothing was scary to it to me, and the finale was telegraphed almost from the beginning.

I can't find any reason to recommend this one, I'm sorry I wasted my money and time.
