Review of The House of Sand (2005) by Just A Girl K — 23 Oct 2006
Went to see this with some friends last night. I had seen a trailer for it and thought it looked wonderful. The scenery was beautiful and I feel they captured the sense of seclusion beautifully, however, the time line that was used was a little on the choppy side, for a lack of better words. One moment you were watching a little girl grow up and the next she is a woman - same with her mother. I would've like to of seen what made the mother turn soft and love where she was at, other than Muzzu, and what made the daughter grow up so bitter and then change in the end.
I was glad to of watched it once, but it would not be a movie I would rent or watch a second time.
