Review of The House of Mirth (2000) by Camilla O — 21 Jun 2007
It's gloomier than Dickens. And with Terence Davies directing, you're in for a melodrama. I liked the fact that there was no main music score and Gillian Anderson as Ms. Barth. She actually displays the emotionial core of the story with understated despair.
Plus Eric Stoltz.
