Review of The House (2017) by Ken A — 18 Feb 2018
Another corny comedy with a very thin story, low emotion invest and tons of comedic stars thrown in to make an impact, hopefully. And this one doesn't come close. The 80 min trt made it worthy as there was just enough to keep you interested but the Fight Night piece was the best and then several mild laughs as this one is flat throughout and Poehler tries but not enough in the tank to form a classic or even a average comedy.
Renner was a nice touch but the political angle was against the grain it felt and too long of an investment. It needed some more iconic scenes or at least one.
