Review of The Hours (2002) by M W — 04 May 2009
A skillful and enchanting recreation of the Cunningham novel. Most will agree that the story is less suited for film and the plot will not appeal to all. However, the performances of each of the key characters are nothing less than extraordinary.
MS, NK and JM each raise the bar and seem to make their fellow actors better. I found JM's portrayal particularly impressive. EH is solid also. Few films will offer such outstanding acting in one package.
