'Dear Leonard. To look life in the face, always, to look life in the face and to know it for what it is. At last to know it, to love it for what it is, and then, to put it away. Leonard, always the years between us, always the years. Always the love. Always the hours.'.

Gripped from the first, this movie was an absolute masterpiece. A beautiful and moving score, a stellar cast who proved their worth, there was not a single weak performance among them. I particularly loved the links in the other women's stories to parts of Woolfe's life: relationships with other women, hearing voices, depression and the death of loved ones. Truly fantastic and worth every minute. This is one of those films that deserved EVERY single accolade and award it received. Remarkable.
