A film that was way creepier than people gave it credit for. I was very on edge while watching and very uneasy. The atmosphere is very well made and brought to life. Basil Rathbone was one hell of an actor, and he was without a doubt the best Holmes of all time.
Holmes is a complex character and Rathbone is unflinching in his portrayals. Nigel Bruce was the perfect choice for Dr.Watson and the supporting roles were all very good as well. This adaptation of Doyle's most famous book is the best Sherlock Holmes movie ever made by a mile.
