Review of The Host (2015) by Alex A — 17 Jun 2014
The Host is essentially Twilight with aliens; needless to say that's not a good thing. The only redeemable quality is the cinematography, everything else is poor. Filled with cardboard characters, amateur dialogue, unremarkable performances, and unintentionally hilarious moments, this movie has more make-out scenes than entertainment value.
William Hurt, who I expected to be the shining light, as usual has zero emotion. The Host takes a decent storyline and derails it thanks to a poor script.
