This competently made and generally entertaining monster movie from South Korea, with clear political and environmental subtests, features wonderful special effects and mixes humour and scares quite well.
Park Gang-du (Song Kang-ho) isn't, however, a very likable hero and the film suffers from some sluggish pacing that ruins the overall momentum of the piece.
