Review of The Hospital (1971) by Rod A — 06 Sep 2009
Somehow the cosmos arranged for me to see this 1971 film during our country's attempt to come to reform our medical system. A forerunner to Network, this Chayefsky screenplay is absolutely scathing.
As loony as the premise of this film is, it's so intelligent and well done. George C. Scott is brilliant as he portrays a complicated man trying to find his way in what he thinks is an empty world.
I had never heard of this film, but it's worth knowing about.
