Review of The Horse Whisperer (1998) by Marie F — 03 Mar 2010
A gUy film, for her so as to know he's there y'know. A biT soppy and not enough of the 'breaking in' when his style in particular is so profound yet is the only way for the domesticated beast to be harnessed (ultimatly the human/masters friend and submissive... animal).
I felt the insightful full grasp of the American way and the shaymnistic family bond (showing a unisen of orah's/energy) in the first instance (as a horse would see it judgementally, in the now) through feelings and expression of energy at certain times, how peaceful the beast can interpret or how we can use a family group to show 'family' to it. For us to be seen as ok in the horses eyes.
Other than all of that, not much of an affair for to be a drama. Well made family movie... to KILL TIME hehe.
Wonderfull story and good acting from not just the leading roles, even though the script dragged on on places.... see; jesus was a carpenter, from our western interpretation of,... him.
