Tommy Lee Jones adds to the great Westerns with a very different view, one that focuses on the difficult realities of the frontier. By centering this story on women, both those who endure and those who don't, Jones challenges the stereotypical guns-and-brawn construction we have come to expect.
Exceptionally well-directed and well-acted, this movie deserves a wide audience.
