A stark look at insanity in the American West, THE HOMEMAN pulls no punches. Despite a jaunty ad campaign that paints the picture like an AFRICAN QUEEN-esque adventure, the film's overall tone is morose.
Tommy Lee Jones gives an above-average performance, and Hilary Swank is quite good in the lead role. Cinematography is a high-point. Not for the Hollywood audience.
