This film is absolutely dreadful. While wonderfully acted, the movie is mean and ugly toward women, treating them as ignorant and crazy for no explained reason. Hilary Swank's character is so pathetic that when the third act occurs, its less a shock to the audience and more what-the-f***.

The final scene of the film, Tommy Lee drunkenly dancing away as his barge sails up river is so anti-climactic and confusing it's borderline infuriating. One is left wondering just how they can get back the wasted hours of their life watching this terrible film.
