Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Steve M — 09 Oct 2011
On a scale of 1 -10 in surreal and bizarre this is about a 32. I don't question Jodorowski no matter how strange, violent, horrible, etc. his films get because watching a film by him is like leaving planet earth for 2 hrs.
I imagine the scenes from 2001 where Dave is traveling through space with all the bright colors and surreal music and still shots of his face in surprised and shocked expressions he was really just watching a Jodorowski film in his living room.
Not as good as el topo but a good watch...Best seen while on a controlled substance or at least not sober.
