Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Ricardo M — 07 May 2009
Might be the strangest film I've ever seen. Jodorowsky directs films like a mad scientist. Visually this film is unlike anything you will ever see. Very satirical and very Dada. This film is like watching a surreal painting spring to life in all of its shocking, puzzling, and fascinating grandeur. A hallmark of surreal cinema.
How many other movies could you see that feature an old man with a half-heard and sagging breasts that turn into ocelot heads and spew milk at a eunuch? Not many, that's for sure.
