Review of The Holy Mountain (1973) by Michael H — 16 Feb 2009
One of the most visually bizarre films ever, a mix of religious and sacrilegious symbolism, beauty and grotesque, and pretty much everything else you could possibly think of. But as a narrative story, what the hell is it? It's possibly a mess of images, to another it could be all the answers to the meaning of the world.
Whatever it is, it will shock you and interest you. But absolutely never bore you.
