Review of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013) by José Carlos Á — 20 Jun 2015
"The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" continues the prequel and starts its diversion from the original book with some additions and original content, though most of these changes do justice since the story begins to fully work now, the acting gets better (with Evangeline Lilly, Richard Armitage and Luke Evans standing out) and the special effects seem more polished now, especially in the scenes with Smaug (helped by Benedict Cumberbatch fine voice-acting and by-motion-capture performance); all of which sets up the finale for this inferior yet compelling trilogy.
