As a fan of the Hobbit book I watched this movie soon after reading it as a kid. And I must say I was impressed. Even now watching it again as a adult I still liked it. The animation is well done and has a interesting look.
They stay very close to the book. Sure there are scenes not put in or just condensed. But it still works for the entertainment value. It gave a great visual to one of my all time favorite books. A must see for Hobbit and Lord of the Rings fans.
