Review of The Hobbit (1977) by Farron K — 16 Dec 2012
Only bad things can come from cramming The Hobbit into a bit over 1 hour. Being made in the '70s with '70s tech/animation and featuring Rankin Bass' corny, laughable folk music insertions only makes it worse.
Suffers from many of the same problems The Last Unicorn had: crappy acting, a story that was chopped to pieces on an editor's table, boring wastes of time (Bilbo and Gollum's guessing game...), the list goes on.
