Review of The Hoax (2006) by Amber B — 08 Apr 2008
I would prefer Irving's overseas home and lifestyle be part of the film. I remember his living on the Spanish island of Ibiza as part of his mystery.
The acting was good, especially the interaction between Gere and 'Fred Molina.
I wonder if Irving wasn't a bit like Fitzgerald, as far as being part of a social culture of his time.
My interest was held, but I would have omitted some of the fiction the film's writer created, and added more of the reality of Irving's life story.
