Review of The Hoax (2006) by Craig B — 01 May 2008
Clever film that was sadly overlooked. Clifford Irving might be one of the most gifted con-artists of all time. The man single-handely fooled every notable news network AND the American Public into believing that he had permission to write the authorized biography of Howard Hughes.
So obsessed he became that he could match the exact rantings of Hughes and forge his name perfectly. In a way, you sort of have to admire him. Richard Gere proves again that he is a very competant actor.
