Review of The Hoax (2006) by Savanna B — 15 Aug 2008
Iâ??m still confused about how in the world this scam actually made it that far. Irving knew how petrified Hughes was of the media and that he would come clean about the swindle. Because Howard Hughes was a brilliant billionaire with hypochondriac; who was on drugs, became frantic and went over the deep end? Clifford Irving is just as crazy as Howard Hughes.
He was well off but pulled of the ultimate hoax. Only serving 17 months incarnated for such a big deal is lucky. He only wanted momentarily Glory and a sense of I did something rememberable. A story that is real and absolutely astonishing.
If Howard Hughes would have never spoke up he would have pulled it off. Though I donâ??t know how he pulled it off but Clifford made Hughes appear in the public again after about 15 years. Job well done.
