Recheado com o melhor do humor britânico, o filme se sobressai apesar da trama ser um pouco confusa (para quem não conhece o trabalho de Douglas Adams) e corrida. Um Show de Alan Rickman como "Marvin, O Robô Depressivo" e um verdadeiro achado em Zooey Deschanel aqui: a moça se sai surpreendentemente bem justamente por fazer seu papel mais "normal".
