Review of The Hitcher (2007) by Christine B — 22 Jun 2010
This is the last of the movies I borrowed from my nephew and it was the last one I watched because I had to psych myself up for what I knew would be a very violent film. I wanted to see it because I love Sean Bean, but he is SUPER NASTY in this one and terribly creepy as well.
..very good acting on his part! The movie didn't need to be made though. It has nothing much to offer an audience although it does kind of keep you in a state of low anxiety for much of it. It would have been nice to have had some background into John Ryder's character and what made him the psychopath he was.
I'm not into senseless slasher movies so I should have avoided this one. Damn you, Sean Bean! I prefer you as Boromir in The Lord of the Rings!
