A pretty much suspense free thriller(?), that can't be saved by Sean Bean's hefty and murderous performance. Other than that, The Hitcher is a pointless remake made for the young who crave movies with no suspense or plot, but rather straight- forward 80 minutes of gross- out blood and aimless gore.
