Review of The Hitcher (2007) by Dan H — 07 Oct 2016
Unimaginative, uninspired, derivative, dumb and cliche. Not even Sean Bean can save this film. This remake adds just about nothing new, instead choosing to replicate/copy lines and scenes from the original. It also makes things bloodier, adds in jump scares and strips away all the subtlety and power of the original classic. Just stay away and watch the original instead.
On a separate note, I dig that the film uses Nine Inch Nails' Closer, although it doesn't fit the scene it's shoehorned into.
