Review of The Hitcher (1986) by Will D — 19 Jan 2010
Moves way fast. For the first 40 minutes it seems like scenes are thrown together one after another but you never think for a second that it's a bad thing because they're just getting you used to Rutger Hauer and how much of a ghost-like presence he seems to emit by being everywhere at once.
There's also some very good camerawork here that is a major factor in this movie blending genres. Clever.
