Review of The Hitcher (1986) by Ryan M — 21 Jul 2012
After seeing a streak of Sh*t 80's teenager thriller films, I didn't expect much from this film. Instead, I got somerthing way better. Finally, a thriller about vigilance and becoming as violent as the enemy, as opposed to a film about a bunch of stupid teens having sex in the middle of nowhere, then getting picked off one by one and getting gruesomley killed.
Teen Star C. Thomas howell is again, a teenager with a leather jacker, coz it just looks so f*cking good on him. The action sequences are cool, and the killer's decisions to entrap him in a game of cat and mouse, rather than kill him become a thing of thought.
This films is 80's horror gold.
