Review of The Hitch-Hiker (1953) by Ben H — 20 Feb 2012
This was a noir that I sought out in conjunction with my podcast listening, as a show was set to review it as a key film in the genre.
Aside from the time period in which it was made and the female director, I'm not sure what was such a big deal about this one, unfortunately, though I can appreciate it for the edgy approach for its time, it's still a bit slow and meander-y at times, as it is just about three guys driving around the desert to evade the cops, which may not be as cinematic as other action could've been.
Worth a rental at the least.
