Review of The History Boys (2006) by Jerome C — 02 Feb 2008
At times inspired, poignant and provocative. But ultimately this is a story more suited for the stage, where the structural flaws wouldn't be much of a problem (longer running time) and the group - chaos - scenes would be far more effective.
But how encouraging is it to see such genuine performances from relative unknowns! I for one will be watching the career of Samuel Barnett with great expectations.
