Review of The History Boys (2006) by Joseph E — 12 Sep 2009

Very good film this is one of those rare times when a play is transported very well to a film.

It is very hard to fault this film the cast is superb the film is well shot but one thing for sure it is beautifully edited. The only reason why I didn't give the film 5 stars is because the ending was for me the only slight letdown. This might be spoilers for some but its not sotrywise that got to me but the way it is executed I just feel it does not work due to the style of the film and would have been better to have a freeze frame of the characters and a titlecard but apart from that an entertaing film.
